WCTA Juniors

Welcome to the West Coast Tennis Academy. Our mission is to unleash every player's potential allowing them to reach their individual goals while enjoying the sport of a lifetime. We have coaching, facilities, and training programs for all abilities and ages. We have a variety of classes designed for all ages and abilities available in Classes & Clinics. All players, prior to participation in any class must fill out and return the Liability Release, Permission to Photograph Release, and Payment Policy forms which are available for download from Download Forms.

Junior Levels

Tier 1
Open level players ranked in the top 150 in Southern California. These players play at least 2 tournaments per month and are striving to compete on a national level.
Tier 2
Players who have advanced to playing Open/Satellite tournaments in the USTA system. Varsity level players.
Tier 3
Players who are regularly playing tennis, understand scorekeeping, and are participating in Satellite and Novice level USTA tournaments. Junior Varsity level players.
Tier 4
A player who has little or no tennis experience progressing to players having some Novice tournament experience.
Future Stars - A
Tier 4 level players ages 12 - 16 years old.
Future Stars - B
Tier 4 level players ages 9 - 12 years old.

Junior Players of the Month

Brett Berger

Brett has been playing tennis for 3 years. She is in 5th grade. She has started taking private lessons from Paige Farmer in February 2009 and participated in the Future Stars program 2-3 times per week. She now is part of the Junior Workout Competitive group playing 5-6 times per week and working with Andy Farmer. Brett played in her first USTA Sanctioned Novice Tournament in February. We are very proud of her efforts as she won the 10 Year Old Intermediates division. Congratulations Brett!!

Teak Berger

Teak has been playing tennis for about 3 years casually. He is in 3rd grade. He is currently in the Future Stars Competitive program and is playing 3-4 times per week. He also takes lessons from Paige Farmer. Teak played in his first USTA Sanctioned Novice Tournament in February playing up in the 10 Year Old Beginners division. We are very proud of his efforts in taking 2nd place. Great job Teak!
